Entertainment announced this past week that the Wachowskis Brothers’ 1999
sci-fi gem, The Matrix, starring Keanu Reeves as Neo, with Laurence
Fishburn, Carrie-Anne Moss and Hugo Weaving (as “Agent Smith”), has been given
a new 4K scan (from the original camera negative) and will be available as a
newly remastered 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray Combo Pack on May 22.
There are four separate
commentary options individually titled: “Philosopher,” “Critics,” “Cast &
Crew” and “Composer.”
Other bonus goodies
include the featurettes, “The Matrix Revisited,” “Follow the White Rabbit” and
“Take the Red Pill,” plus the Marilyn Manson music video titled “Rock is Dead.”
